Rhiannon Giddens, of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, announces the release of her debut solo album, “Tomorrow is my Turn” saying:
“I’m so incredibly excited to announce that my very first solo record is about to come out — it’s called Tomorrow Is My Turn, and I worked with the wonderful producer T Bone Burnett to bring my dream album to life. Every song has a connection with a pioneering Americana musician; from Nina Simone to Dolly Parton, it represents at least a partial survey of those women who have influenced me the most in my musical journey. I got to work with an incredible array of beautiful musicians, and I’m super proud of it. I hope you enjoy it!
