Kevin Burt’s Debut Album HEARTLAND & SOUL (Little Village Foundation) to be released on October 30

Heartland & Soul was produced by Kid Anderson and Jim Pugh who was Robert Cray’s keyboardist for over two decades and features Kevin Burt’s outstanding original recordings and a really cool stripped-down but intense cover of “Eleanor Rigby” that the charismatic Kevin Burt makes all his own like all true artists do. Kevin Burt’s vocals are absolutely amazing – extremely powerful, rich, warm, expressive and exploding with soul. His award-winning harp playing is featured throughout, highlights include “Wake Up, Baby” and the catchy, upbeat standout opener, “Real Love.” This beautiful sounding record will now show the world why this rising star dominated the 2018 International Blues Challenge competition!

The all-star band features an incredible rhythm section with Jim Pugh on keys, D’Mar Martin on drums, Jon Otis (Johnny Otis’ son) on percussion and Grammy winning Jerry Jemmot on bass who is on such classics as B.B. King’s “The Thrill Is Gone”, Gil Scott Heron’s “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised” and Aretha Franklin’s “Think”.
